This is a site all about roses. It isn't a site about the practical uses for roses, although there ARE some (even though James Russell Lowell might not have been aware of them)!
This site exists simply because of our love for roses. You'll find some great info about roses here that you won't find anywhere else on the 'net -- including some wonderful tips for growing roses, as well as simply enjoying and buying wonderful roses.
No other flower has turned up as often as roses in poems; no other flower is associated with love as often; no other flower IS universally loved like roses are.
Quite simply, we are passionate about roses, and if you're reading this, you may be, too.
You may be irresistibly drawn to the sweet fragrance of roses, or to the amazing array of colors, or to the ability to grow roses easily - wherever you are in the world. Or you may be a collector or a researcher... or just someone who appreciates the exquisite beauty of all roses, whatever their pedigree.
